Regional Summaries (Regional Chapters)
Comment/Update (10-April-2012): Todd is still finalizing the contact points for each region. Until this changes, please forward your comments or text directly to Todd. (This message will be replaced by contact peoples' names as soon as possible.)
- The Zooplankton Status Report will be divided into up to eight geographic regions (based on site locations):
- The western North Atlantic,
- Labrador Basin (pending),
- the Nordic & Barents Seas,
- the Baltic Sea,
- the North Sea & English Channel,
- the Northeast Atlantic Shelf (currently no zooplankton sites)
- the Bay of Biscay and western Iberian shelf,
- and the Mediterranean Sea.
- Starting with the previous 2008/2009 report, each region now is written as a chapter and has its own introduction and summary section (the reason for the name "Regional Summary").
- Each regional chapter has an author listing based on people that contributed site data and/or helped write the regional summary section. Site authors are also authored on within their individual site summaries.
- We encourage you to take a look at the regional chapter introductions in the last report to get an idea of our starting point for the 2012 report.
What is new for 2012?
- The 2008/2009 report only offered a text-based overview of general trends and literature written from that region. For the 2010/2001 report, we may be able to add some illustrative graphics and/or multi-site comparison plots to either support or expand this section. This will be discussed via email if/when it is available.
